These Are The Top 6 Theme Parks In North America According To New Study

24/05/2023

One of the best parts of the summer, in our opinion, is the theme parks. You can ride a roller coaster while the sun is shining and sweat out your nerves or jump into a wave pool to shake off the sweat collected after getting on a ride.

North America is known for having the best theme parks, like Disney World and Universal Studios, but there are others that are great in the summer.

Check out this list if you’re looking for an awesome holiday at a theme park.

Places like Ohio and Ontario, Canada have great theme parks that millions of people visit during the year, but the summer is the best time to check them out.

According to a new study from HomeToGo, a vacation rental company that helps you find your perfect home during a holiday, there are six theme parks in North America that you should check out. You get to experience the rides without lousy weather, and the attractions are more fun when the sun is out.

Find out why you should visit these six top theme parks in North America, according to the new study from HomeToGo.

Cedar Point, Ohio

The first amusement park on this list is the second oldest in the United States, built in 1870. On the shore of Lake Erie in Ohio, Cedar Point was voted the best by HomeToGo because of its numerous attractions like the Atomic Scrambler that whirl you around, scrambling what’s left of your brain.

High-speed attractions like the Blue Streak go up to 40mph and are considered a park staple. Even better, this amusement area doubles as a water park to cool off in the summer.

Canada’s Wonderland, Ontario, Canada

You’re sadly mistaken if you think the United States only has the best theme parks. The second on this list is Canada’s Wonderland in Ontario, Canada.

This multi-purpose theme park doubles as a roller coaster paradise and a water park with a lazy river with a gnarly view of one of the park’s attractions.

If you’re considering visiting in the winter, they have some attractions like ice skating open. It’s another reason why this amazing park is one of the top picks.

Hersheypark, Pennsylvania

The delicious Hershey corporation created this staple in the early 1900s in Pennsylvania. This park may be older, but they have an onslaught of new rides like Wildcat’s Revenge that will open this summer.

Even though chocolate folks created it, the park is much more than your favorite fudge. It’s been known as a local favorite for decades, so it’s number three on this list.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Texas

If you’ve ever been to a Six Flags park, you know they are tons of fun, especially in the summer months. At the Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, you’ll find a thrill seekers’ paradise with over twelve roller coasters and 220 acres of non-stop fun.

They even have two water rides. Our favorite attraction is the Boomerang 2.0. It might make you nauseous, but it’s completely worth it.

Six Flags Darien Lake, New York

If you’re in the northeast part of North America, you don’t have to head too far to get to one of the top theme parks. Six Flags Darien Lake is located in Buffalo, New York, about a six-hour drive from New York City.

The amusement park has ten water rides and eight roller coasters. It might not be the flashiest theme park on this list, but it’s a good contender considering its location and how many attractions it has.

Kings Island, Ohio

Kings Island is a pretty cool theme park with over 364 acres and 14 roller coasters. It’s the theme park you can bring the whole family to.

Many family-friendly attractions exist, like the new Cargo Loco ride that opens this summer.

If you want something to do this summer, check out a theme park on this list. It’s the perfect way to get out of the house and try something new. Not every theme park was created equal, but you’ll find something fun in at least one of them.
