It has pooled the knowledge of its authors from around the globe to create a list of 15 of the best places to go in 2024.
In the interests of not taking up your entire day, we have picked out six favorites from this list that should all be in contention to put a stamp in your passport (or not) in 2024.
Seville, Spain
Seville is a city that has skyrocketed in popularity in recent times.
A well-loved digital nomad destination, this Andalusian capital offers an enchanting slower pace of life, year-round great weather, and good transport links via road, rail, and air.
If you’re planning on visiting in 2024, then spring is one of the best times as you can attend the famous April Fair where you can see more than 1,000 ‘casetas’ – tents where people welcome you in with food and drink.

Fall is also a fine time to visit, especially if you love the dance that Seville is famous for – flamenco.
The city hosts a celebration of flamenco every two years known as the Flamenco Biennial, with 2024’s edition set to take place in September.
Panama City, Panama
This underrated Latin American destination is a melting pot of different cultural influences and has a little bit of something for everyone.
Within the city are two other smaller ‘cities’ known as Panama Viejo and Casco Antiguo, which show the ancient and colonial pasts respectively.
Sure, everyone knows about the canal, which is worth a visit, but did you also know that it’s regarded as a great destination for foodies too?
It has no less than four of Latin America’s 50 best restaurants and has a street food scene of very high regard.
Kentucky
It seems like the appeal of Kentucky was so great that it couldn’t be narrowed down to a single destination but the whole state instead.
Known as one of America’s homes of bourbon, equine entertainment, and music, Kentucky, which enjoyed a record-breaking year for tourism this year, will be a great place to visit in 2024.
In April, Bowling Green will host the White Squirrel Arts Fest, while horse lovers will love Derby Week, which will take place in early May in and around Louisville.
Guanajuato, Mexico
The beautiful sloping hillsides of Guanajuato are dotted with colorfully painted houses and bustling with activity – there’s a reason why it’s regarded as one of the prettiest places in Mexico.
If you’re a regular visitor to Mexico’s coastal destinations, then this small hillside town will give you a change of pace and a chance to see colonial Mexican history at its best.
Guanajuato is located about one hour’s drive east of Leon, and two hours west of Queretaro.
Every July the city hosts an international film festival, while in November the skies are filled with gorgeous colors at the annual international Hot Air Balloon Festival.
Santa Fe, New Mexico
This stunning desert city in New Mexico is becoming a popular choice for domestic getaways with plenty of off path things to keep you entertained.
Known as a great outdoors hub, the city boasts plenty of guided tours into the beautiful mountainous scenery that surrounds it, as well as several wellness spas to rest in between excursions.
There’ll be plenty happening in the city throughout 2024 including a full program from the Santa Fe Opera, as well as a wide range of events to celebrate the area’s rich Native American culture.
Brisbane, Australia
I’d be lying to you if I said that I hadn’t saved the best until last in this article (at least in my humble opinion).
Brisbane is easily my favorite Australian city, and you can fly there direct from Los Angeles.
This riverside city in the state of Queensland is teeming with hip bars (the craft beer scene is fantastic), trendy restaurants, and so many independent shops and stores it’s hard to keep count.

The city’s infrastructure is ideal for walking and cycling with plenty of greenspace and promenades along the river, where you can also catch river taxis to different parts of the city.
There’s even a climbing wall situated on the banks of the river opposite the main city skyline.

If you stay for any length of time, make sure you do the following three things:
- Visit Felons Brewing Co just below the Story Bridge.
- Take a trip up to the top of Mount Coot-Tha to get unrivaled views of the city.
- Take a ferry over to the stunningly beautiful North Stradbroke Island and see wild kangaroos on the beach (it’s like a cheaper and quieter version of the Whitsundays).
