Suspicious Bag Briefly Shut Down Newark Airport

closed for business on Sunday night.

Newark-Liberty International Airport in northern New Jersey,
widely regarded as a New York City airport, was closed for about 45 minutes on
Sunday, according to NorthJersey.com.The reason?
A suspicious package was found.Despite the brevity of the incident, the whole thing lasted
approximately 45 minutes, and a local bomb squad was called to the baggage
claim area in Terminal C.
Terminal C is mostly a United Airlines arrival terminal.The terminal was cleared and reopened in less than an hour
by authorities, according to a spokeswoman for the Port Authority of New York
and New Jersey. information was available.
In total, FlightAware.com
reported that over 500 flights in and out of the airport were delayed on
