Silversea, the ultra-luxe line owned by Royal Caribbean Group, is poised to open sales on bookings for summer 2027 and winter 2027-28 voyages, offering 400-plus itineraries across the globe.
With visits to more than 600 destinations, the line’s 12 ships will make 30 maiden port calls on cruises ranging from 6-77 days. Reservations will open for bookings on October 22, 2025.
Among the new highlights are three Grand Voyages and the cruise brand’s first ship to be deployed in Japan for a summer season.
The 596-guest Silver Muse will sail six Japan itineraries that take guests to lesser-known destinations along with popular ports such as Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Akita, and Okinawa. An overnight stay in Osaka promises a close-up experience with the destination’s nightlife and local cuisine, and several of the country’s celebrated summer festivals will be included on itineraries.
“Our voyage collection 2027-2028 marks a new chapter of innovation in luxury travel,” said Bert Hernandez, president of Silversea.
“We will deliver exclusive access to authentic festivals and events that best showcase the world’s most enriching local cultures and customs — including the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, the Monaco Grand Prix, and one of Japan’s largest cultural festivals, Awa Odori — leaving our guests with memories that will last a lifetime.”
The luxury line is well known for its Grand Voyages. These more immersive sailings traditionally feature explorations of lesser-known destinations and UNESCO World Heritage sites, overnight port stays, and exclusive shoreside events that delve into a region’s culture and cuisine.
Silver Muse will operate one of the voyages along with Silver Dawn, accommodating 596 guests, and Silver Ray, a larger ship with capacity for 728 guests. Specific departure dates will be available when bookings open.

Silver Muse will sail “Grand Voyage Asia” in 2028, a 51-day cruise calling at ports in East Asia, Japan, and Southeast Asia. In all, the ship will visit 28 destinations across 7 countries. Among highlights will be Japan’s cherry blossom season and 10 overnight visits in various ports.
Silver Dawn is scheduled to operate “Grand Voyage Mediterranean” in 2027, a 60-day itinerary that visits 48 destinations in the Western Mediterranean and the Adriatic, plus the Greek Islands.
A special shoreside excursion will feature a concert at Ephesus, Turkey, and iconic destinations such as Casablanca are included on the itinerary.
Silver Ray, the line’s newest ship that entered service in 2024, will operate the third cruise, “Grand Voyage South America,” in 2028. The 77-day sailing will circumnavigate South America and call at the popular ports of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Ushuaia and Buenos Aires, Argentina, among others.
Three Ships to Offer Arctic, Antarctica Voyages
Another new deployment for 2027-28 is a 20-cruise series exploring the Arctic and Greenland aboard the 274-guest Silver Wind and 220-guest Silver Endeavour.

The ships will, as the cruise line puts it, “chase the Northern Lights and the Midnight Sun” while guests have opportunities to view wildlife such as whales, walruses, and the elusive Arctic fox.
Some 70-plus destinations will be visited, including Greenland’s Disko Bay, Ilulissat, and Sisimiut.
Silversea again offer its Antarctica series of cruises in 2027-28, with 43 sailings to the White Continent, including 32 fly-cruise voyages, in which guests travel by air to Antarctica, cutting out the drama of the Drake Passage, a crossing known for its rough and unpredictable seas.
Three ships, Silver Endeavour, Silver Cloud, and Silver Wind, will operate the Antarctica voyages, giving plenty of opportunities for interested guests to enjoy this bucket-list destination. Silver Endeavour, in fact, was christened in Antarctica in 2022.
