2)The Maya Train Is Almost Ready
You must have heard about the most significant infrastructure being built in the Yucatán peninsula and all the benefits it will bring to tourists.
The new Maya train will connect top destinations like Tulum, Cancun, and Playa del Carmen, as well as spectacular hidden gems in the Mexican Caribbean.
The train will also reach the brand-new international airport under construction in Tulum.
The rail project has aroused a lot of curiosity and excitement among visitors, and the first tests will begin in September.
The Maya train will begin services on December 1, right on time for the busiest season in Cancun, when American, Canadian, and European travelers arrive to escape from the cold winter.
3) Infrastructure Improvement Near Cancun International Airport
Travelers arriving in Cancun in the following days should take precautions as road work has been causing delays for visitors.
Even though Cancun International Airport is very close to the Hotel Zone, travelers have been spending more time than usual in traffic congestion.

The new international airport will have routes to multiple cities in the United States —like Dallas, Chicago, and Boston— allowing even more travelers to experience the Quintana Roo region, where top destinations like Cancun, Tulum, and Playa del Carmen are located.
Tulum International Airport will open its doors ahead of schedule in December this year.
The new modern airport will also be part of the Maya Train network and allow travelers to easily move across the different stations to explore the best locations in the area.
