Potential Tropical System Tracking Towards the Bahamas Results in Disney Wish Itinerary Change for September 26, 2025

26/09/2025

Last night, Disney Cruise Line notified guests booked on today’s Disney Wish 3-night Bahamian cruise of an itinerary change due to the forecasted track of a weather system (Invest 94L) that is predicted to produce tropical storm force winds in The Bahamas later this weekend. Disney Cruise Line made the decision to change the itinerary for the September 26, 2025 Disney Wish sailing to visit Castaway Cay on Saturday, instead of visiting Nassau followed by a day at sea on Sunday.

National Hurricane Center Tropical Weather Outlook 9/26/25 8AM
Showers and thunderstorms continue to show signs of organization in
association with a tropical wave located near Hispaniola, the
Turks and Caicos Islands, and eastern Cuba. An area of low pressure
is expected to form along the wave by tonight when it moves near the
southeast Bahamas. This low is expected to become a tropical
depression when it is in the vicinity of the central and northwest
Bahamas over the weekend, and then track northwestward or northward
over the southwestern Atlantic.Regardless of development, heavy rains and gusty winds are ongoing
in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and the Turks and Caicos Islands,
and are likely to spread across the Bahamas and eastern Cuba during
the next day or two. Interests in all of these areas should monitor
the progress of the system. While there remains considerable
uncertainty in the long-range track and intensity of the system,
there is a significant risk of wind, rainfall, and storm surge
impacts for a portion of the southeast U.S. coast early next week.
Interests in this area should also monitor the progress of the
system.
* Formation chance through 48 hours…high…80 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days…high…90 percent.

Model forecasts for Invest 94L have the system moving thought The Bahamas tracking close to Eleuthera and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point before continuing north to the east of both Nassau and Disney Castaway Cay. Remember, these are model runs as of now and there are a lot of variables. For the most up to date information on this or any other tropical weather system, please visit the National Hurricane Center.

The revised itinerary is as follows:

  1. Friday September 26, 2025 – Port Canaveral, Florida
  2. Saturday September 27, 2025 – Castaway Cay
  3. Sunday September 28, 2025 – At Sea
    Monday September 29, 2025 – Port Canaveral, Florida (Debarkation)

Any Port Adventures that were pre-reserved in Disney Castaway Cay will automatically be adjusted to fit the revised itinerary. Any Port Adventures that were pre-reserved in Nassau will automatically be removed from Guest onboard accounts. Guests who wish to reserve any additional experiences ashore in Disney Castaway Cay may do so once onboard the ship through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or at the Port Adventures desk.

At this time, no other itinerary changes have been made. Disney Cruise Line will continue to monitor the weather and advise if any additional changes are made. A Seamail will be sent to Guests and Travel Agents advising of the itinerary change.
