Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has announced a new partnership with global entertainment company RWS Global to refresh and expand its onboard entertainment programme.
The collaboration marks a significant development in the cruise line’s approach to guest experiences, introducing a broader range of performances and activities shaped by direct passenger feedback.
The partnership will begin rolling out in February 2026 aboard Bolette, Borealis and Balmoral, Fred. Olsen’s three smaller cruise ships, before being fully implemented across the fleet from September 2026.
Guests can expect a more diverse and interactive entertainment offering combining theatre productions, live music, and themed experiences while preserving the atmosphere of intimacy and tradition that characterises Fred. Olsen cruises.

“We’re proud to be a business where our guests come first,” said Samantha Stimpson, CEO of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines. “This exciting investment and step forward for our onboard entertainment has come as a direct result of listening to our guests and understanding what they value most: more choice and more moments to enjoy.”
“Cruising, for us, has always been about the joy of the journey, and we’re continually evolving to make that experience even more fulfilling,” she added. “This partnership represents a step forward in our entertainment offerings – bringing fresh, engaging and varied experiences to life onboard, while staying true to the timeless pleasures of cruising that our guests know and love, and that make us uniquely Fred.”
The new entertainment programme will include a varied mix of live performances covering musical theatre, Latin, rock, pop, disco and country, alongside themed events, light entertainment, food and beverage experiences, and interactive game shows. Each element aims to reflect guest preferences and bring greater variety and depth to the onboard experience.

As Fred. Olsen’s full-service entertainment partner, RWS Global will take responsibility for developing and delivering the cruise line’s entertainment operations, including creative production, technical design, casting and performance management.
The company will work closely with Fred. Olsen’s onboard and shoreside teams to ensure consistency and adaptability across the fleet, supporting the cruise line’s broader vision for growth and brand evolution.
The partnership signals Fred. Olsen’s commitment to continuous improvement, responding directly to guest insights and focusing on blending new experiences with the personal, small-ship charm for which the line is best known.
