Disney Treasure August 16, 2025 Cruise Switching to a Western Caribbean Itinerary to Avoid Hurricane Erin in the Atlantic

Guests booked on Saturday’s August 16th Disney Treasure sailing are learning the previously scheduled 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruise will be switched to a 7-night Western Caribbean Cruise to avoid any impacts from Hurricane Erin which was just upgraded from a tropical storm during the National Hurricane Center’s 11 o’clock update. While the forecast track currently keeps the system offshore of the eastern Caribbean ports, there is potential for heavy seas, wind, and rain in the area as the system continues to move through the Atlantic Ocean.

In the correspondence to impacted guests, Disney Cruise Line states they have been closely monitoring the storm’s forecasted track. Due to the possible impacts in the Eastern Caribbean, they have made the decision to change the itinerary. Instead of visiting Tortola and St. Thomas, the Disney Treasure will now visit Cozumel, Mexico on Monday, George Town, Grand Cayman on Tuesday and Falmouth, Jamaica on Wednesday. The scheduled stop at Castaway Cay will remain on Friday, as scheduled.

The revised itinerary is the standard 7-night Western Caribbean cruise for the Disney Treasure as follows:

  1. Saturday August 16, 2025 – Port Canaveral, Florida
  2. Sunday August 17, 2025 – At Sea
  3. Monday August 18, 2025 – Cozumel, Mexico
  4. Tuesday August 19, 2025 – Grand Cayman
  5. Wednesday August 20, 2025 – Falmouth, Jamaica
  6. Thursday August 21, 2025 – At Sea
  7. Friday August 22, 2025 – Castaway Cay
    Saturday August 23, 2025 – Port Canaveral, Florida (Debarkation)

Hurricane Erin is the first hurricane of the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season.
