Disney Destiny Ship’s Log Update – Spider-Man & the Spider-Bots Installed on the Stern

This past week, Disney Cruise Line shared a look into the work underway at the Meyer Werft shipyard where crews installed Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots on the stern of the Disney Destiny.

In the Ship Log update on the Disney Parks Blog, we learned the stern character on the Disney Destiny depicts Spider-Man swooping into action as he teams up with three Spider-Bots to add the finishing touches to the ship’s geometric filigree.

The sharp edges and crisscrossing designs in the filigree are a playful nod to Spider-Man’s web-slinging skills. The Spider-Bots are equipped with yellow-dipped paintbrushes and some must-have cruise accessories, including sunglasses and a snorkel mask.

The Marvel themed stern character design will be one of the first things guest might see upon arrival to the embarkation port, setting the scene for an adventure full of experiences inspired by legendary Disney heroes and villains starting this November when the ship welcomes guests in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
