This week, Disney Auditions put out a casting call searching for stunt performers. You read that right, this is a new one to come across my desk. Disney Cruise Line is searching for stunt professionals with unrivalled experience and athletic skills to amaze and astound guests performing stage combat, weapon combat, tumbling, and more. More specifically, the cruise line is on the search for a performer with strong acting physicality with double sword and double dagger experience along with a strong background to perform various tricks or stunts such as Martial Arts, Parkour and/or Power Tumbling.

Seeking submissions from professional stunt talent with significant experience for Stunt Performer roles in our live-action entertainment offerings. These stunt professionals will use unrivalled experience and athletic skills to amaze and astound our guests performing stage combat, weapon combat, tumbling, and more.
Disney Live Entertainment Talent Casting strives to represent the cultural and ethnic backgrounds of our diverse characters while continuing to maintain the embodiment and artistic spirit of these roles. Seeking the following roles:
Male Presenting: 5’11” – 6’2″ with a slender and athletic build
Must have strong acting physicality with double sword and double dagger experience. Performer must have a strong background to perform various tricks or stunts such as Martial Arts, Parkour and/or Power Tumbling.
While the casting call omits any specific character mention, this reads like a possible casting call for the role of Deadpool and other Marvel Super Heroes and Villains in Avengers Assemble! which will debut on the Disney Adventure later this year.

One of the signature entertainment experiences performed on the Garden Stage will be Avengers Assemble! This action-packed stage show will feature jaw-dropping stunts and incredible special effects as the one-and-only Deadpool makes his Disney Cruise Line debut to lend his signature irreverence and comedy to the spectacle. The epic battle of Marvel Super Heroes and Villains at sea will showcase the unbelievable powers of Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, Black Panther, The Scarlet Witch, Ms. Marvel, Loki, Red Skull, Taskmaster and more.
