Earlier this summer, Disney Cruise Line welcomed nearly 40 children onboard the Disney Fantasy during a stop in Civitavecchia, the port city outside of Rome. Disney and Make-A-Wish International created a fairytale experience for families from across Italy onboard the ship.

Together with their families, the children were the guests of honor onboard, starting their day full of fun with a Royal Tea Party where they met up with their favorite characters, including Disney Princesses, Thor, BB-8, Woody and Jessie.

Following the Royal Tea Party the guests of honor experienced more magic with activities in the Oceaneer’s Club hosted by Crew Members, and a dance party with Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse.

For the very first time in Italy, Disney Cruise Line and Make-A-Wish International teamed up to bring dreams to children living with critical illnesses who had wished to meet their favorite Disney characters. With many Make-A-Wish families unable to travel to a Disney park, this day provided an opportunity for wish children to enjoy a magical day close to home.
