Bar Harbor officials hope to develop new option for managing cruise ship traffic

Officials are hoping to develop a new option for managing cruise ship traffic in Bar Harbor.The town is looking to create a licensing system allowing Bar Harbor to join contracts with cruise lines.
Earlier this summer, the town voted to allow a 1,000-person daily limit for cruise ship passengers coming ashore.
The newest proposed option looks to compromise with cruise ship companies.
