The Saudi Arabian homegrown cruise line AROYA, the first of its kind in the Arab world, has revealed its exclusive Khuzama experience ahead of the cruise line’s debut in the Red Sea this December.
Named after the Arabic word for lavender, the Khuzama experience is inspired by the flower, which has become a Saudi national cultural icon and is considered a symbol of luxury, while the colour purple is used in the Kingdom’s official reception ceremony carpets.
The concept is designed to give guests an elevated and enriched experience from the moment they board the ship, combining comfort and relaxation with Arabian hospitality and a range of exclusive perks, such as a private lounge and restaurant.
Khuzama Restaurant
The move by AROYA Cruises brings it on-par with major cruise lines such as Norwegian Cruise Line and MSC Cruises which operate their own luxury enclaves called The Haven and MSC Yacht Club.
Khuzama guests can choose from 150 VIP suites and one Royal villa, each featuring walk-in wardrobes, spacious balconies and luxurious bath amenities, as well as plenty of space.
Khuzama passengers also benefit from additional enhancements including complimentary Wi-Fi, priority embarkation and disembarkation, luggage delivery, and a dedicated butler service.
The elegant Khuzama Restaurant offers a rotating menu that blends Saudi and French cuisine, while the 24-hour Khuzama Lounge is a comfortable space for guests to enjoy drinks and light bites throughout the day and evening.
Khuzama Lounge
“We are proud to be launching the Khuzama experience for our premium Aroya guests,” said Dr Jorg Rudolph, President of Aroya Cruises. “Our luxury travellers are seeking something a little extra; exclusive experiences and elevated facilities combined with a deeply personal and curated service. Aroya is already incredibly special, but the Khuzama concept goes one step further with the most luxurious way to explore the wonders of Saudi by sea.”
The cruise line’s first ship Aroya, the former World Dream, features 1,678 cabins for 3,362 passengers, 20 entertainment venues, 29 cafes, restaurants, and lounges, a bespoke spa and wellness area with a thermal suite and beauty clinic, two swimming pools, and a 1,585 sqm retail space, as well as a 1,858 sqm Kids Zone.
Aroya
Aroya Cruises sets sail on December 16th from Jeddah, offering a range of three to seven-night roundtrip itineraries visiting a private island in the Red Sea, other Saudi ports, and destinations in Egypt and Jordan.
