As of April 17, 2023, Sven Jacobsen will take over as Vice President Communication & Sustainability at German cruise company AIDA Cruises.
Jacobsen is a renowned expert in the field of communication and sustainability. In his career, he has worked for Beiersdorf and Media-Saturn-Holding, among others. After a post at Salzburg-based automotive supplier Benteler, he has been responsible for corporate communications at fruit gum manufacturer Haribo since 2015. Most recently, he was actively involved in the PR business with his own consulting agency.
Jacobsen reports directly to Felix Eichhorn, President AIDA Cruises.
“We are very pleased that a proven communications expert with extensive experience in corporate communications and brand profiling has joined us in the person of Sven Jacobsen. He has demonstrated in his previous positions that he can successfully navigate companies in terms of communication and solve complex tasks in a sustainable and positive way,” says Felix Eichhorn.
Sven Jacobsen succeeds Hansjörg Kunze, who had been at the helm of corporate communications at AIDA Cruises in his role as Vice President Communication & Sustainability since 2004. Hansjörg Kunze is thus leaving the operational side of the business and will continue to support the cruise company in an advisory capacity with his outstanding expertise and valuable knowledge of the industry.
“Hansjörg Kunze has done a great job for the strategic communicational positioning of AIDA Cruises. He shaped the positive public perception of the company, positioned AIDA as a strong brand, and advocated a trusting communication style that was open to dialog. We would like to express our sincere thanks for his many years of passionate commitment and wish him all the best for the future,” says Felix Eichhorn.
