Two adults-only cruise ships will allow travelers of all ages for 20 select cruises in 2026 and 2027.
The two Carnival owned ships which sail with their P&O Cruises line, Aurora and Arcadia, will switch from adults-only to family cruises on specific dates and peak holiday periods like Christmas.
The open cruises add 23% more sailings for families to choose from during school summer holidays in 2027.
A total of 12 cruises on Aurora and eight on Arcadia will be available to families through to September 2027. More holidays for winter 2027-28 go on sale on October 14, 2025.
On these cruises, menus for children will be available as well as baby changing and bottle warming facilities. Both cruise ships will offer entertainment and activities for the entire family.
The sailings on Aurora that are open to guests of all ages are:

- R711 – Southern Cruise Break to Spain, France and Portugal, 7 Nights, July 9, 2027
- R712 – Short Break to Hamburg and Zeebrugge (for Bruges), 5 Nights, July 16, 2027
- R713 – Northern Europe and Scandinavia, 16 Nights, July 21, 2027
- R714 – Short Break to Hamburg and Zeebrugge (for Bruges), 5 Nights, August 6, 2027
- R715 – Western Mediterranean Discovery, 21 Nights, August 11, 2027
- R717 – Short Break to Rotterdam, 4 Nights, September 13, 2027

Carnival UK & P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow said:
“A recent study showed that multi-generational travel is a rising trend. Over 30% of families are now cruising with at least two generations onboard, and nearly a third (28%) travel with three to five generations.
“So, following guest feedback we are inviting all ages to join Arcadia and Aurora on selected holidays so the whole family can come together to experience these elegant ships.
“There will be a variety of activities suitable for all ages during these selected holidays – something for the whole family to enjoy.
“Arcadia and Aurora will continue to offer holidays exclusively for adults for the majority of the year but this selection of holidays for all ages will enable families to holiday together during specific times of the year.”
Note: On the July 20, 2027 sailing on Arcadia, guests must be at least 12 months old to sail.
